Sign me up. Shao Kahn is one of the strongest and most brutal characters in mortal combat mythos, so he’s going to need a towering actor if he appears in the upcoming live-action sequel. Dwayne Johnson would be an incredible choice, despite already having a very busy schedule.

The above message comes to us from the staff of Ed Boon Twitter Account. He created the mortal combat video game franchise, as well as the NetherRealm studio. Boon is obviously familiar with the countless fighters on the property and seems to think that Dwayne Johnson would be the perfect actor to bring Shao Kahn to life.

Of course smart money says Dwayne Johnson is actually produce a video game movierather than joining a pre-existing franchise like mortal combat. But fans can’t deny that he has the physicality of the reservation to bring Shao Kahn to the big screen. We’ll just have to see if this iconic villain ends up being factored into the upcoming sequel.
