SOMERSET, MASS. (WHDH) – A Somerset native’s 1968 Cadillac DeVille made its film debut in “The Tender Bar”.
Todd Arnone bought the classic car in a real estate sale several years ago and said someone from the movie studio approached his friend about the use of the vehicle in the Amazon Original movie.
“He said, ‘We’re making this movie in Boston; we need old cars – from the 60s and 70s. What do you have, ”Arnone remembers.
Ben Affleck, a Cambridge native and star of “The Tender Bar,” was spotted driving the Cadillac while the movie was filmed across Massachusetts last year.

The car is also featured on a poster promoting the film.
“We didn’t know if it was going to be parked on the street in a car scene or what it was going to be used for and voila, it’s the main character’s vehicle in the film,” Arnone said. “I was quite shocked at how often he appeared in the movie.”
Arnone says the Cadillac needed some work to prepare for its Hollywood debut, but it had the original paint job.
He owns a number of other classic cars, but says this vehicle has special meaning for him.
“My grandparents owned Cadillacs, so this sort of thing hit the mark,” he said.
Now that the Cadillac is being seen by moviegoers around the world, Arnone says he would like to release it more.
“I’m going to spend a little more money to make it more roadworthy so that I can take it out in the summer and go on a trip,” he said.
Arnone added that he hopes Affleck can one day sign a movie poster for him.
